  • an observation

I was looking over some swing sequences checking out something when I think I may have noticed something that I was not looking for. in some pros, especially sergio, it seems that the bend in the right elbow actually increases during the transition. it is kind of hard to see because in the face on view the left arm blocks the right arm. does this happen in some pros, if so why?

If I forcibly hold the wrist angle from the top and then bump my left hip I can see on video this does cause this bend to increase slightly as the right arm drops a bit. Ive been experimenting this summer on holding the wrist angle very late into the downswing. When right it gives great distance but i often hold on too long and block right or release it too early and hook/pull and trying to blend the right amount of body rotation with this release is a holy grail for me ( I think its called a passive release?). All the time im trying to keep my wrists and right hand as soft as possible
