I video taped my swing and have noticed that I am not cocking my wrist at hip high --- it looks like I set the wrist way late in my swing. Has anyone else had this problem?
This is not a problem.............................Look at Tigers swing he is exactly the same.
Cocking the wrists late on the backswing is a trent of many top tour players, it also creates a very wide swing arc which is what you should be looking for.
Thanks --- I am soul searching right now trying to figure out where my swing has gone and to fix the problems I have. I guess I need or am looking for an overview of the swing and what body parts do what the correct way. I can figure out the rest. I am a 4 handicap but on pure athletism only. Swing looks sound but feels like poo. I seem to be all left side in my swing and I think I am sliding forward on the downswing with a little cast or weaking of the left wrist into impact. I am a lot better with the irons but the woods are horrible. Looking for a swing that I can use for both with a little setup differences on the two.
Thanks
Eddie

Don't panic.
Ian.
I do think you can overdo it though. I had a tendency to have my right arm almost locked when my arms were at 9' o clock on the way back. This meant there was no break in my wrists and all tension in the arms. I also lost connection. I found trying to feel as though the right arm was folding earlier whilst still maintining width through the left arm allowed the wrists to hinge naturally. Tigers not deliberately doing anything with his wrists on those pics, they're just following the right arm folding up. Striving too hard to get wide is as much of a bad thing as no width at all .. IMHO of course
