I don't know if taking it too far inside will cause a reverse pivot. I do know you want to take the club back on plane. What does this mean? If you have ever had you swing analyzed by one the new programs, you will see an imagnary line drawn up the club shaft through the players body. Now if you can, transpose that imaginary line directly to your right. As you swing back, the club head should go up the line. If the club head is below the line, it is inside, if it is above the line than it is outside.

it sounds like your hands are dragging your weight around behind you and you cant bring it back through again. to get the feel of not falling back on your right foot start swinging with your feet together. this will show you where the weight is going.

if that doesnt work, concentrate on keeping your weight over your right hip by imagining pressing the hip down to the ground, this will stop you falling back.

you need to stop taking it back so far inside though. i am curious as to what you were trying to solve in the first place.......

I Was Trying To Stop Cutting The Ball.as An Attempt To Hit The Ball More From The Inside I Started Taking Back Inside And It Go Progressivly More Inside. When I Take It Away Straight Back From The Ball I Dont Seem To Reverse Pivot.does This Make Any Sense? MAYBE I SHOULDNT CALL THIS A REVERSE PIVOT I GET THE WEIGHT ON THE LEFT LEG IN THE BACKSWING AND IT STAYS THERE.I DONT FINISH ON MY BACK LEG I STAY ON MY LEFT LEG.

If you are just taking the club inside, my guess is you are not turning your chest away from the target and transferring weight to the inside of the right foot. If you take the club back on plane, it will tend to promote a more natural weight transfer to the right side. I am avoiding the use of the terminology straight back, because this can misinterpeted as bringing the club straight back on the target line which will actually cause you to bring the club above the plane.

you can try this. set up mirror to your right side. Put a piece of tape on the mirror at the same angle as your club shaft. Obviously the lie angle changes with the club. As you swing back, make sure the club head touches the tape.

If you want to spend some money there is the Plane stick, Or you can take a broken shaft, put it in the ground to your right an inch or two in front of the target line near your right foot and swing back using the shaft as a guide.

Can I just confirm, so on the backswing, the clubhead should be right on the tape up to the highest point of the clubhead right? What about beyond that, where the clubhead will be heading down until the shaft is horizontal (at the top of the backswing)?

I'm not quite sure what you are ask and I'm not endorsing anything, but if you go to this website it has an excellent representation of what I am trying to explainhttp://www.dwquailgolf.com/training/plane_stick.html

I don’t think talking the club back on the inside doesn’t mean you’ll have an inside out swing on the downswing.

The initial take back should be on your target line (or just inside)

If you view your swing plane from someone looking straight at you

with your head being 12 o’Clock, and your club head at rest being 6 O’Clock

Then when you reach 8’oclock your club-head position should be just inside

your ball but outside your hands.
