  • club face at impact

I have a realy big problem of the tee and with the 3 wood. {iorns are good} It seem that the extra distance from the ball makes me open up the club face. I have even tryed turing the club up to 30 deg. off square to see if that helped nothing. next I went to my grip and it made it a little better less right to left. it not a push but I know I am losing distane because of the movement and the fact i have to aim so far left please get me down the middle.....

    thank you

Lets start here: Don't stand much further away then your irons - a little bit more is all that is needed. Your arms should hang down vertically on all you clubs. So if you are reaching to the ball, then you are too far away. This is just a start.

Then, the 30 degrees closed face at setup has to go. Never counter a bad swing with an even worse setup. But I know that it is easier, and you get instant results. But lets try something. Setup with the face square, and take the club back with your shoulder turn only. I am betting that you are taking it back with the hands first, and that gets you too outside-in causing the wicked slice.

Do those first and see where we are, and return with the next set of questions.
