  • Club in line with left arm

recently ive been aligning the club with my left arm at setup and it seems to give me good contact and power, it seems like it closes the clubface and your hands are way out in front of the ball

with my driver though if i align it up with my left arm the clubface looks open

    (im a right hander)

Re: Club in line with left arm

    Doogkie,

This is ball position and club length...................With the irons the butt of the club should be just inside your left knee at address giving a reflection view of a straight line between club and arm. The face may look closed to you, however it was probably open before and now only looks closed when in fact it's probably square.

As for the driver the ball position changes to just inside the left heel, a straight line with club and arm as before, but from your view the face now looks open, but as before it is probably square.

When ever you make a change things are not always what you think. My advice is to view your swing regular on video, or at least look at your reflection in a mirror or large window.

    Hope this helps

    Ian.
