What really got to me was the fact that I got hold of an "inside approach" and thought I`d eradicated my over-the-top move, but there it was on video, as bad as ever.

Hey Mariner - I know your pain oh so well..... the only way to make sure you aren't doing something you don't want to do is to buy yourself a video camera and every few swings, video yourself and immediately look at the swing. Feel never equals real...

I know video cameras can be expensive, but most mid-range digital cameras these days ($100 to $200) have a short video function where you can record 15 to 30 seconds of video - enough for a swing or two. If you have a digital camera, take a look - it might have this feature.

It will revolutionize the way you practice. It isn't a replacment for a qualified teaching professional, but at least you can use it to check that you are doing what your pro asked you to do.
