Want to clarify the movement of the right feet at transition. Currently I believe I have been pushing so that only my toes touch the ground, then I rotate my right leg. Would a more correct way be to first push so that my inner feet touches the floor, then lift the heel? I believe both methods puts me in the same end position, but would the latter be a more approved move? Thanks!

Re: Right feet
Hi Simon,
There are two methods, some pros roll the right foot so the heel and the ball stay on the ground and lift the right side of the foot....then finish on the toes.
The second (Tiger) who lift the heel on the down swing and push with the big toe, then finish on the toes.
Hope this is ok.

Re: Right feet
Hi Ian,
Please allow me to confirm - you feel like you are screwing your right foot clockwise on the backswing, but you don't actually move it right? I actually don't seem to focus on any feeling on the right foot except making sure the right leg stays grounded...

Re: Right feet
Simon,
That is correct you don't move your right foot, but I can feel the ground beneath my feet move as My backswing starts, you should feel this as you build pressure into your right foot, right knee, pelvis and the right side of your lower back.
This is the coiling effect like a spring, then at the top unwind the spring with the lower body.
Hope this explains things for you.
Ian.

Re: Right feet
Heh Ian, I'm on the mat most of the time, so I dun get the luxury of feeling anything under my feet move :P But I try to feel really loaded on my right knee/thigh on the backswing now. Hope that's a good enough way to create the weight transfer and coil.
