Let me pose this question to you guys. Before you answer remeber I know I need to have my clubs properly fitted by a custom club fitter but some of you can probably relate.. I don't have that kind of money right know. I am self taught and I have a 4.4 handicap. I have never hit my irons like I feel like I should. Well that brings me to my point. I have been experimenting lately to get better more crisp contact and better control. I am 5 foot 7 inches and my wrist to floor measurement is just over 30 inches. Yesterday at lunch I choked down on the club and noticed that the toe of the club no longer was up off the ground. The feel I get with swinging the club choked down also feels like I can feel where the club is in my backswing. I hit some balls today and everything was really good. Does this make sense if the lie angle of my clubs were off or am I thinking too much.

Re: Iron Dilema
the lie has a big impact on shot dispersion, with the toe up you hit the heel more and pull the club around hitting shots to the left(for rh) is that your typical bad shot?
i put your numbers in a custom fitting program and it says your length should be -.25 inches and your lie should be -2 degrees
2 degrees is alotLast edited by doogkie; 02-07-2006, 11:09 PM.
