  • More dominant right-hand helps release?

I've been fighting with my slice for the past couple of months, although I'm gradually getting to the bottom of it now. I think a large factor of my slice is not releasing correctly.

I haven't had chance to try it out properly yet (I'll probably play a round tomorrow), but with a bit of experimentation at home I have found that having firmer right-hand grip a more dominant right-hand in the down-swing forces my club to release earlier and square up for impact. Am I right to be going down this route, or is just completely wrong?

Probably wrong. The hands need to be equal in pressure, so you fixing somthing by dominating one over the other is making up for a problem somewhere else. Slicing is a problem that is usually caued by a bad path, casting from the top, poor weight transfer, and too much moovement laterally back. Figure out the reason for the slicing and keep the grip pressure equal. You will be happier in the long run.
