  • Body Posture and the Reverse Pivot

I recently had my first golf lesson ever and discovered the meaning of the expression "Reverse Pivot". It was the first fundemental flaw in my swing that the pro pointed out. One of my friends told me I had this problem but I could not understand it until the pro show it to me on film with my swing. Our first correction was for me to bend my spine at the hips so that my torso is leaning back away from the target at an angle rather than straight up a down. This is supposed to help me to rotate and turn more consistently and keep my spine in the correct position back and then through the ball. Could someone try to show me and others what this is all about and what it looks like. I am sure others must have this problem. I looked at your drill on posture but it looks at the posture from behind the ball looking at the target. Some photographs and explanations about the posture while looking at the golfer from in front of him would be helpful.
