  • blocking irons out to right

I have a problem hitting all of my iron shots slightly out to the right of my target. Its not a fade but more of a block. It may not sound like much but its doing my head in! has anybody got any suggestions??

    Cheers big ears

I know when I'm blocking them, it's because I slide my hips forward.

Loosen up on the grip, bub. If you are gripping too tight, consciously, or unconsciously, you will block it out a lot.

The reason you maybe blocking them might be beacuse your not swinging through impact

Check your right elbow isnt 'flying' out during your backswing. This causes your right shoulder to be higher than your left and the clubface to be open at impact. Looking at yourself in a mirror you should be able to see your right elbow halfway through the backswing and downswing and at the top your right elbow should point to the ground
