Re: losing distance with my irons
What distances did you use to hit your 9i? 6i? I lost distance once I lost some swing speed. Another issue might be if you are "scooping" the ball, and not "pinching" it. Maybe you have moved the ball forward in your stance with out knowing, which would increase the loft of the club. Increased loft will send the ball higher, which will inhibit roll. Or maybe you are losing your wrist angle too soon before impact, which would cause some of the above. Or maybe something as simple as starting your game back up after a lay off. Could weather be a problem? I know when it is colder, and I am wearing extra clothing my distance suffers. Have you switched balls? Just some things off the top of my head. I am sure other, more qualified forum members will help you out.....GJS

Re: losing distance with my irons
I think it is also easy to loose distance if you are coming too steep into the ball with those clubs. The ball will pop up very high, but of course not go very far.
Another thought is perhaps you are not turning your hips through with those irons, as you likely do with your driver??
