    Thanks, it is all a matter of getting the ball in the hole with the least number of shot and within the rules. I guess if something works for a golfer within those parameters it is all good.

      I suppose....depending on the goals of the golfer. If you just want to play and maybe knock a couple strokes off a high handicap, then I agree. If your goal is to be a very good, low handicap player, then I would disagree, and recommend you work toward making your swing more fundamentally and technically sound.

        I forward press my putter always. I forward press my chipping most of the time. I rarely forward press my pitches or full shots. Why this way? I have no idea. I never consciously think about a press. It just happens to get my motion started. It seems a natural part of the total swing, but mostly for my putts and chips. I'm concerned somewhat about wheather I press to the same distance each time or not. However, when it just happens, I'm okay with it. Some time ago I tried various presses with my full shots but chose to not concern myself about it.
