  • 5 iron, 4 iron, 3 iron,......

In my practice routine, I hit my sand wedge to 6 iron well. I am happy with the overall strike. But when I pull out the 5 4 3 I do not get the same flush contact. I use the same routine and set up, move the ball forward in my stance as instructed and generally try to hit with teh same tempo. My Driver is spot on most of the time. Can any one put me in the right direction,
    Thanks,
    Robert

Make sure your shoulders are tilting on your correct plane (1plane vs. 2plane whatever you are). You can get away with a bad plane on short clubs, but the longer ones will not be as forgiving.

      Thanks Gregg,
Do you mean like a shoulder tilt with the Driver set up?

Shoulder tilt during the swing...keep on the same plane throughout.
