irons

When I hit my irons I hit them high and inconsistent but if I grip right down the sharf I hit them really well with a lower more boring flight and further than normal . The irons feel more comfortable much lighter and in control I was fitted for the clubs when I got them but would I be better getting smaller grips or lighter shafts.
