Shaft flex and divots....

I've got a question about shaft flex and divots. I went and asked my local pro to take a look at my swing with different clubs because I have concerns about my iron shots. He told me that my swing with all my clubs looked very good, especially for a self taught golfer. My problem is that my iron shots seem to have a fade pattern to them. (Most times they travel about 10yds right of target) I checked my divots, and they are straight, about 1/4 inch deep and pointing slightly left of target (where I aim). The pro told me that my swing plane is correct, and he thinks my swing speed is too high for my regular flex irons. Would he be correct? I'm just looking for a second opinion before buying new irons. I would like to try out different types of irons, but I don't know of any places that demo them. The stores around here only offer a 15 day guarantee, but if you return them they deduct 20% for restocking and making the clubs used.....Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks...
