  • Timing repetition

Does any body have any good drills for instilling a repetitve timing into the swing? I find that I can not retain the same timing throughout a round and leads to messing up a good round. When I practice at the range and work on timing, everything is fine, but it is retention of the range practice that is the problem.
    Thanks,
    Robert

    Re: Timing repetition

I might suggest you add (if you don't have one) your own pre shot routine to both your practice, and on course golfing. Use that routine for every shot. Include in that pre-shot routine a couple dry swings, while concentrating on your timing. I know alot of times when at the range people get into their own timing just by raking balls. Then when they get to the course, the time spent between shots are longer than they were at the range. A pre-shot routine will help your swing timing regardless of how much time passes between shots. Some people will have a fast pre-shot routine, while others will have slower pre-shot routine. Key is to find what works best for you. GJS
