  • Body turn vs slide

I find that if my right heal comes off the ground prior to contact, I tend to slide my body toward the target, rather than turning the body. Is this common? DO most of you keep the heal grounded prior to impact?

Look more towards your leading leg's postition at impact. Is it straight? Is there most of your weight on it at impact? Then, this will keep you in a good rotation and not slide. Where your back foot is will not be a concern...the heal it may be a little off the ground and that is a good sign. Does it HAVE to be off, no. But the leading leg cannot bend forward or still be flexed, if it is, you can expect you are sliding and not turning.

the right heal coming up causes sliding OR does sliding cause the right heal to come up???

Outside-in does not come close to describing it...9:30 is just about 80 degrees to the left. You have some serious hands shutting the face down, or your path is seruis out-in AND your hands finish the job swatting at it very early.

You need to relax your right side. Start there. Allow some simple chip shots to start to make solid contact with a very easy swing and slowly increase the swing...

Please send a video if you can. It's all guess work from here until we see this.

Good point! With my ball contact, it could probably be either/or, or and/and.
