Re: What do you practice most

funny coz if you are not a good golfer the short game is exactly what you should be concentrating on.
Anyone can learn how to chip and putt well on their own, these are the personal parts of the game.
The long game is more technical and needs advice.

I practice a lot with the scoring irons (7-P). I feel my short game is well enough. I just can't get to the short game!

        Hi Liam.
I play off 1 h/cap and i truly believe that , to achieve a reasonable ability oyu have to constantly practice your short game and fundamentals and remember , always practice with a purpose ....

I practice the 12 ounce curl at the 19th hole most. I am rather good at it.

Definitely my short and middle game. When I go to the range I hit about 10-20 balls driver through 5 wood; mostly everything else I hit is 100, 150 & 170 yards.

When I can't make it to the range I go to the schoolyard (or in the back yard) and hit chips shots for about an hour or so into one of those small target nets.

I practice putting whenever I can; I even have a putter and ball return in my office at work.

I work on my short game mostly, but I'm also trying to find the rythm in my long shots.

I practice, in order, short game (chips/pitches up to 100 yd), putting, driving. However, during the past few weeks (3-4), I find that my short game and driving are fine but my putting is off--I take the correct line but my "touch" prevents me from doing better.

                  Hi Liam,
Lately I have been practicing my short game a lot more, and we have even tried converting part of the back lawn at home to a putting area. Its actually good for short chips and putting. The neighbours do not play but they seem to enjoy watching.
