  • Natural Grip??

Anyone out there familiar with the "natural grip"?? Left thumb still tucked under right hand but hands grip the club like with a baseball bat. No wrapping of the fingers underneath. I used this grip on Sunday after wearing a blister on the finger of my right hand. It actually felt good swinging the club with this grip. Anyone use this grip all the time. I have a brother who does and he loves it.

Yes, after a bit of research on the internet looking at different grips i tried a few out and found that one to be the best for me, It gives me a much firmer, more controlled grip of the club, the interlocking grip didn't really work for me as i have very large hands.

For the same reasons (cuts and blisters on my fingers), I switched to a baseball grip, and have been using it all year. It works quite well for me. In fact, I tried going back to interlock, and it felt horrible.

Now, with the baseball grip, I don't hold the club in my hands. It's still in the fingers. But my fingers don't overlap or interlock. I guess I should rename my grip the 10 finger grip, as baseball implies holding the club in the palm.

        Hi
The natural or baseball grip is usually favoured by Women, and men with smaller hands. As long as your hands remain connected ( touching ), then use whichever grip feels comfortable as long as your grip remains in the neutral position.

In short . The nuetral grip postion is , when you grip the club you should see two - three knuckles on the back of your left hand and tow knuckles on the back of your right hand and the lines formed between the forefinger and thumbs of both hands should roughly point towards your right shoulder.

            regards Terry

Thanx for the feedback everyone. Yes, I still grip the club the same as with the interlock only without the interlock. I haven't adopted this grip yet but plan on giving it another try next time I play. I think my playing partner is sold on it already since he had such favorable results with it over just two holes of play.
