  • Teacher/Pro Problems

This is not so much to do with what my pro is doing to my swing but what he is not doing. I have had this certain teacher for 2 years and we get on really well. However i am now regretting booking up 6 lessons recently. Today i had my second lesson and we did basically nothing. He just stood and said good shot after each one. In the end he left 10 mins early (instead of the usual 5) and i was left to finish off the rest of my balls.

Im really good friends with him but now i want to have lessons with someone else who is the top pro at my club. how should i do this without causing him any offence?

    Re: Teacher/Pro Problems

Are they at the same club? If so, then just go to the top pro there and explain. He probably hired the guy and will know exactly what you are taking about and will completly understand if you present your case about the "early leave syndrome and the lack of additional input" lesson.

Ask him to move the lessons to him. All he can say is no, and nothing is affecting your relationship with your current pro.

Try and involve him a bit more by asking questions and don't give the chance to leave early

Wow, sounds like really poor treatment...........

I suggest you ring him now and ask him to remind you what he told you to work on when you had your last lesson as you have forgot, this may bring home to him what your going through.

Also ask him when you are having the extra free lesson, due to him finishing early.

Just out of interest does he use any sort of computer system during your lesson, or does he ask you do work on one drill at a time or anything like that?

        Ian.

lol. like the sound of that. bit cheeky tho.

answer to your question the only technology he uses is a video camera and draws diagrams on the screen
