i was about to start a thread about this, i was out today shot a 37(36) but ive noticed im really short with my irons, like 2 clubs shorter than most people i play, i hit a 7 150, but i know i can hit it farther, im strong and flexible, and i asked some people that were hitting their 7 about 160-165 and they say they conciously cock their wrist going back

im straight and consistent, i never think about my hands or wrist in the swing, they cock when my left arm is parallel with the ground

For me I find that a 'conscious wrist cock' just helps me keep it cocked longer through the hitting zone, this is where I seem to get more power with less energy.

i went outside in the pasture and i tried conscioulsy cocking my wrist and it was no different in distance or accuracy but i did choke up on my clubs and i was hitting them 10 yards farther, its weird, i can hit the center of the clubface both way but for some reason i hit it farther choked down

Choaking down will hit the ball lower, and that can cause the longer results. But your spin rate and trajectory will not hold the green as well...be carefule there.

not true for me, i still hit it a mile high, maybe a little better trajectory for me, i seem to hit the ball a good ways high for somereason, i hit down good and make sure i dont flip through but it still is high, i hold greens with almost no forward jump, most times jump back

i got titliest 804-os irons with reg flex ns pro 90 shafts on them(dont know anything about them but bands look like true temp)

i looked it up and they are nippon shafts, but they have mid bend point

i dont know why i get so much backspin
