  • Avoiding fat shots

It seems like all my bad shots lately come from me digging trenchs with
    my irons.

When I do this I have the feeling like my right shoulder is dipping or
that I am letting my right arm dominate.

Are there any drills or swing thoughts I can use to help get rid of this.

that makes sense that it is because of your right arm dominate that your fat it

look at this adn gregs RHD

and i use to have the same problems. i fixed it by having the overlap grip, and overlapping with 3 fingers (so that only one firger from right hand is actaully on the club). an early cup and cock fixes the problem too. then once i am at the top i think of swinging with my body and keeping the right hand cup as long as possible throught impact (even if that means you need to have a bent right arm at impact, that is ok/good). once you get used to that feeling then you can try to hit it with your regular grip. ( IMO for thoose with strong dominant right hands.arm i wouldn't reccomend a interlocking grip, for me it puts to much of my right hand into play.)

You are either dipping (lowering) your swing arc into impact in which case you need to maintian your knee flex through impact.

      Or

You are coming into steeply into impact in which case you need to shallow out your swing path into impact. A good way of drilling this is to tee the ball up and hit through impact by leaving the tee in the ground.
