  • Left Ankle Hurting

Did you guys experience this? I played a few extra rounds this past few weeks and I am experiencing a pain in the left ankle! I use FJ Green joys shoes.

probably tired tendons. Make sure you are properly hydrated before you play and drink plenty mid-round.

I had this for a while as well; went on for about three months or so but was not bad enough to stop me from playing. Almost definitely the tendons. It may take a while to go away. Ice the ankle joint and take some ibuprofen. Also, suggest bying one of those neoprene ankle braces; helps stop the tendons from moving around. It will help. Also, keep wearing the brace for a good while after the pain goes away. I still wear mine most of the time even now and even though I have no pain in the ankle. I just don't want it to recur. Ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure...Would also have a professional evaluate your follow through. You may be swinging to hard and/or have an exaggerated rolling of the ankle in your finishing position.

I get this a lot when I'm walking the course. Good thing I'm to lazy to do that anymore.

I notice walking off the front of the elevated tee boxes and over the mounds around the greens tends to over stretch those tendons in my ankles. I did what jportster recommended above and my ankle felt good in no time.
