Hello, new member here! I figured I will start with my dilemma as it relates to the right hand drill. First, I am a lefty who plays right handed, good ball striker but suffers from overactive hands. I can maintain right hand angle into impact, but afer impact my right hand overpowers my left hand to the point that my left hand is bent ninety degrees to my left forearm! Is this a condition of my shoulders stopping thru the ball and my hands reacting to this force?

Re: Another right hand drill question
Could be yes. Stopping shoulders through will cause the arms to continue and break the wrists that way...unless you are just that strong (don't think anyone is that strong).
Why the stopping of the shoulders? Is it something you are trying to do?

Re: Another right hand drill question
No, I usually end up with a full turn in my finish. I just threw that guess because nobody believes what causes this. It is pretty strange to see on video. Most pros who have seen this cannot believe how hard my hands release without breaking my left wrist. Today I hit balls with The Secret but I had to wrap the strap with duct tape to keep my right hand from stretching the strap on the Secret. I did hit the ball quite well when I kept the hinge in my wrist, but mentally I fell very throttled back on how hard I can usually hit the ball. I feel like I have less power due to holding my wrist angle. This is probably counterintuitive beacuse I have to trust I am doing the right thing now.

Re: Another right hand drill question
Ok, that makes sense. And yes, it will feel as though your powerful hand release at the ball is much less now. But controled now being "much less", and so much more repeatable under pressure. Never seen anyone have to wrap duct tape around the wrist...you must be a beast in the arm/wrist strength.
