I had the same problem at first, I eventually just allowed the slight gap to appear. I tested my swing through contact to see if the 'secret' was still tight enough to prevent my right wrist from losing its cup, I determined it was secure enough even with the small gap around the wrist.

When I tried to tighten it more I thought my finger was going to break off
Thanks Mulligan. I will keep plugging away with the secret with the slight gap. I think the good thing it does is creating the cupping angle at address, you a re positioning your hands ahead of the ball and therefore pre programming your wrist cock.

This is a little late for the thread but I wanted to ask another question concerning the secret. I just got it today from an ebay seller. Wow, it is really awkward feeling. I hit about 25 balls with it, and then some without. I do notice a difference in my ball striking. But here's the question. Does the finger position seem completely out of place? Where do/can you put the index finger (right hand) in the grip? My just wants to point out into nowhere.

I'm waiting to get David leadbetter's 'The Answer' training aid in the post any day now, has anybody ever used this product and what were the results? I get the impression that it achieves the same goal as the Greg Norman Secret?

The link for Greg Willis's drills is no longer valid. Does anyone have the new URL for Greg's drills??

          Thanks,

i just got the secret and the thing it seems to do for me is get my hips moving more and open at impact the feel it gave me was the same as my chip shot. greg does this feel translate to the full swing too? i did not get the video with it should i bother trying to find it ?

Re: Normans Secret & Right Hand drill

Yep, hips into the shot is a good feeling. The video is not that important, unless you are having serious problems with it, and just don't get it.

Re: Normans Secret & Right Hand drill

Your forarms should rotate, yes. "Always point down the target line" is a bit ambiguous. Without seeing your actual positions I would hesitate to be so diffinitive...there are several other positions that can be unique to your personal swing that needs to be see first. I personnaly like to see the back of the left hand facing the target at impact, but it is a dynamic movement that as the arms rotate naturally because the lower body and torso lead, this creates all the power needed, and should not need any forced action.

somehow i lost that feel trying to keep my right wrist cupped at impact from working with the secret among other things. thanks again
