I think the most imrtant factor is the release or at least the timing of the release. The backswing is "throw the club over your shoulder".

Was playing about some more with this today. The interesting thing about the 1PS is just how far inside the takeaway is compared to the more 'straight back' takeaway of the 2PS, much more rotational

Having been hitting 2PS swings I started hooking when I went back to the 1PS before a few wee corrections straightened it out
