I played last Saturday for the first time with my newer swing which includes more right wrist cup than ever before. On most of my swings, iron play was so effortless and incredibly straight. I think I hit more shots within 10 feet of the pin than ever before. On bad shots I noticed 2 things:
1) Driver was sporadic, which led to 3 doubles, all of these misses were to the right.
2) A couple short iron misses were a little fat and slightly right.
My question is, are these symptoms of downswinging with arms first, instead of hip turn?
If not, what is happening to cause this?
