It sound like you're playing in Georgia where we’re currently experiencing a drought and the ground (mostly clay underneath) is like concrete.

Don't ya just love playing with guys like this, or how about the guys that always throw their clubs. The guys that really work my nerves are the ones that are always on the cell phone during the round.

That's why I always try to bring my own foursome, unless I’m in a tournament.

Re: Question for all the scratch, or almost scratch players out there.

Hi all again, been busy with work so havent written for quite some time. I think this is a good thread.

My numbers are for the tension during setup:

      Head 1
      Shoulders 2
      Arms 2
      Wrist 3
      Hands 3
      Torso 3
      Waist 4
      Legs 3
      Feet 1

Obviously, the number will be different for each person but I focus on trying to keep myself balance throughout the swing and maybe thats why around the body area has a bit more tension.

The bast way I know to answer this question is to note your own tension, by putting down your club and just grab a golf ball and throw it, without letting your feet leave the ground ( you can let the right foot go to it's toe, like in a swing). Now if anything gets a little too stiff or tense, you won't throw the ball very far, and the body motions are very similiar and translate quite well, if you don't believe then try the above drill and tense up your legs or your hand or your shoulders and watch what happens when you throw that ball, if anyone is watching they will get a good laugh.
