No matter which Iron I use, I always seem to hit the ground about 2-3 inches behind the ball. Is it the ball position or what? I need help !!!

Re: Bad Iron shots
Probably swaying back too far, then staying back as you rotate through. Try for a feet togeter dill, then work on a 50/50 balance throughtout the swing feel.

Re: Bad Iron shots
Hey Buddy, I was a ground digger as well, found that if I swayed 2 much, I was almost certain to hit the ground first. Now i am using my right knee as a guide, I lock it and swing around it, my weight is between the knees, sometimes more on the right knee but not pass that. A good Chin up, slightly rounder swing and ball a fraction back has also helped. Anyone with a good imagery to share for this problem??

Re: Bad Iron shots
IMO, hitting behind the ball is frequently the result of not shifting your weight from your back foot to your front foot during the downswing. Even if you are shifting your weight properly to your back foot during the backswing, without excessive sway, you may still hit behind the ball if you don’t shift the weight back to the front foot on the downswing. If you ARE swaying too far back, it's even more difficult to get the weight to the front foot, exacerbating the problem.. A reverse pivot will also exacerbate the problem.
