    Hi Frosty,

Cheer up son, everyone goes through times when Golf is unbearable.............when we play well we think thats it cracked it, then we play bad and it's the end of the world.

The best confidence booster I have ever found and the best video to watch is your own swing, take a clip and work on the mistakes....................sometimes I play bad take a swing video and it's fine, just between the ears.

If you like set yourself a task, like chipping 100 ball into a box, does wonders for self esteem.

    Hope this helps

    Ian.

      Hi mate .

I have a copy of Stroke of genious, bobby jones biography. When i see the physical struggles he had and the golfing heights he reached it never failed to inspire me.

        Frosty,
        Listen to Ian,

Your best video is your own. It happens to us all. I find when I have a problem I go back to basics and start with the fundamentals. This brings back your swing and strike and is the best solution

Have to agree with "your own" swing video being your best bet. No two golfers swing the same. This is also the case with swing videos since each teaches a different type of swing concept. If you really want a swing video, you need to make sure that the video you have chosen, resembles your own present swing mechanics. If the two don't match, you would basically be rebuilding your present swing to match the video instruction. That could take much longer, than just using a few drills to help you get back on track with your present swing.

Discribe the ball flight, ball impact problems you are having in your present slump, and I am sure others on this forum can give you some drills to work on, that will help you out of your present swing/impact issue(s). GJS

I concur with Ian; I recently took a video of my swing and I was mortified, the truth be told I am a “swatter.” Videos are good, as are books since they give you an idea of what you should be doing. Unfortunately, until you actually see yourself swinging you really don’t have that good of idea of what you actually are doing.

After viewing my swing I signed up for golf lessons, which will go all summer long. I plan to video tape my swing once a month, and see how I am doing. I get the feeling though, and it will be a bit of a haul before e I see results, but as long as I am going in the right direction, I can live with that!

To answer your question I liked the video, Simply Golf: Back to Basics with Steve Bann

I guess it's pretty unanimous, a video of my own swing. Thanks all.
