I am taking lessons, and fixing my swing. Earlir in the day I was at one driving range and my swing was working.
I took a lesson, and with the instructor behind me I hit a basket of balls, and it was awful. I got a second backet and the same thing - the instructer had left and I got a third basket and I had the sameproblem, I kept banging my club off of the matt, so much so, that my wrist was sore part of the rubber "washer" or whatever it is and the end of the shaft came lose.
Finally, I thought this problem cannot be with me, something is wrong with the matt. I moved the ball onto a harder surface, and all was well. It turned out that the matt had a goove in the middle and the ball was sitting lower. The club was hitting either side of the groove prior to the ball. In the future, I will be more careful! If things are going extrardinarily bad for you at the driving range - it may be the matt!
