I don't think my instructor ever tried to correct it becuas i hit the ball so well.
I make a conious effort to keep my weight between my heels and my balls ( feet ) .
i will try your drill and all the advice given.

    thanks you lot

this problem can also be caused by getting the weight too much on the balls of the feet so you may want to run a quick check on that

At address try to flare out the left toe anywhere from 30 to 45 degrees, this will allow you to move to the left side a little easier and rotate onto the left leg more in balance (frees up the knee joint). I have seen people play with this square setup quite well, but I believe these are very flexible people that can get away with this, most I believe are not that flexible. Give this a try and let us know how you do.
      Hello GoNavy.
That really is a seriously good tip. with my left foot flared it won't matter about any stiffnes in the hips ( am i correct ? ) .

This is amazing . I,ve only been a member for 1 day and you have sorted out an old problem for me ...Time for a new coach i think...
      Thanks again

Is there a doctor in the house?
i thought I'd try an old drill i used to use to keep my weight on my heels. I placed a golfball under my toes and began to swing , lightly , then a little more vigorous and then full blown swing. Then one of the balls under my toes moved, and i lost my balance , fell over and ended up in my wifes rose bush. A couple of flesh wounds and dented pride won't prevent me from curing this fault.
After all , i'm a psychotic albino monk.

          keep you all up dated

              Hi Silas,
I think I know what your prob is. I know a guy with the same issue. After months of trying to find out why, his chiropractor discovered that his right leg was shorter than the other and hence his balance was uneven. Seriously, he had to get a thicker sole on his right shoe and the heel built up. Now he is as solid as a rock in his follow through Hope this helps

OK OK I got it, this is a stroke genious, everyone will be happy.

Wife is P^%^ss that you quished her rose bush, you can't shift correctly, ...ssoooo have her get behind you, just as you reach the top of swing, she can smack you on your right hip with the rose bush (thorny part), you will definately shift left to get away from the bush, since you have had some experience with rose bush in the past, she will get her aggression out on you screwing up her bushes and everything works out, look kinda funny out on the course, but hey, no one said golf is easy...lol
