Re: One Planers
Im a one planer.
I use this site www.oneplanegolfswing.com
If you become a member on there you have a teacher and drills and tips FOR LIFE. Its truely amazing.
Plus the one plane swing is so easy to maintain and do. Why do you think Tiger has gone to more of a one plane action? Vijay is one plane. The best ball striker of all time ben hogan was a one planer. Its so easy to swing one plane its amazing.

Re: One Planers
hi pneran
have to disagree. there has to be lateral movement and weight transfer or player would not end up with there weight on left foot and there right foot up on there toe and end of swing. maybe i am missing something or have picked you up wrong. could you explane if i have it wrong
thanks bill

The main point of the 1PS is that its a rotary motion such that you have 50/50 at address and 50/50 at the top. You then rotate through and by the end you will have most of your weight on the left foot but this is due to rotation not due to a lateral movement

Re: One Planers
hi pnearn
was just looking at hogan book and he says that,
"the plane for the downswing is less steeply inclined and is orineted with the ball quite diffrently from the backswing plane."
and he has this in bold type to show its importance. also few pagers further on he says,
" you turn your hips back to the left. there must be enough lateral motion forward to transfer the weight to left foot"
and then add's
"the path of the hips taken on the downswing is not the exact same path they traveled as the were turned on the backswing, their "arc" should be a trifle wider both as regards the amount of lateral motion and the amount of eventual rotation around to the rear."
the way i read that its not a one plane swing, or at least hogan did not think so.
also he does move his hips lateral before he turns his hips.he makes it clear as day he swing on two planes and has pics of the diffrent head through the glass swing planes back and forward.
again i my not fully understanding the one plane system but on there site they say same back same through????
help???

Golf is a game that is played on a five-inch course - the distance between your ears.
~Bobby Jones
If you're caught on a golf course during a storm and are afraid of lightning, hold up a 1-iron. Not even God can hit a 1-iron.
~Lee Trevino
Actually, the only time I ever took out a one-iron was to kill a tarantula. And it took a seven to do that.
~Jim Murray
Re: One Planers
I'm a 1er.
I was a 2 planer, but could not break 100. Went to a 1 plan and now I shot in low 90's upper 80's. IMO the 1 plan swing is a 'stronger' swing with less work.

Re: One Planers
Hogan wasent actually a true one planer! Because he did drop the club on the inside on the downswing.
Chuck Quinton (the instructor on the www.oneplanegolfswing.com website) coaches people to be very centered, no lateral movement and to keep arms very connected to the body while just turning back and through. he is now making a website called www.rotaryswing.com because he wants to get away from the ONE PLANE SWING name.
It really is an amazing way to swing, very very powerful and very very simple.
