Do any of you guys have any videos of yourselves, just so I can see how this is done? I will be posting one of my own in a couple of hours - it'd be much easier done if I could see someone else's swing - thanks. take care.
nevermind - this new swing isn't helping my golf game - didn't hit one ball correct trying it today, too much tension; don't know how I could possibly go through 18holes with that much tension on every swing.

Something you might try (and it worked for me) is this - curl the fingers of your left hand clockwise when you reach the top of your back swing. Maintain this curl feeling throughout your swing. You maintain this curl feeling throughout the downswing to impact. This move helps you to maintain the right wrist break that you are looking for and keeps your left wrist straight through impact. The curling of the fingers of your left hand has to be consciously practiced before it becomes subconsciously performed. So it may take several weeks to become muscle memory. In the end, it will work. Remember to finish high otherwise you may hook it.

Joe Dante was a very competent player. Wasnt he coached by Tomsaello, who is one of the poster boys for TGM?

I see a lot of parallels between TGM and the new golf swing, especially in that take away move. Certainly Tomasello also taught that same move I believe. I've been experimenting with Tomasello's ideas a lot lately, blending it with a right forearm pickup and more dynamic lower body and finding it a real nice way to get the club back on plane and into a good position at the top

I purchased a paperback copy of Joe Dante's book "The Four Magic Moves to Winning Golf" (1995 re-print of the 1962 version) on Amazon.com for around $15 (American). As someone already mentioned that it is a condensed version on the web site for the "New Golf Swing". I wonder why the web site would call it the "New Golf Swing" when the content is over 40 years old? I guess fundamental concepts change very little. The book is a gem, IMHO. I am happy that the Executor of the Estate of Joe Dante had the book re-published.

Been playing for 30+ years, 10 handicap, but oh so inconsistent. Read and tried everything (including lessons) then saw this thread and thought why not, lost a day at work reading through the website, but at the range that night, wow like never before - long, consistently straight, and easy to implement. Tried at the range again last night and even better. Will be putting into effect tomorrow in 3rd round of club championships - hopefully can make up some lost ground. Key for me was not to make it too complicated and love the "Magic Move" (turn to right after gripping club) to get alignment correct again. If you have been struggling and getting more confused with all the well meaning advice I would recommend giving it a go.
