While keeping my right wrist cupped and maintaining that v shape I take the club back keeping my elbows close to my body. Once I reach parallel do I just hinge my wrists vertically upwards while completing a full shoulder turn?

Re: RH drill?
Why is it, that when I try hard to do this right, I look like an idiot ... or rather ... I FEEL like I look like an idiot?
(Just to get things straight: I'm NOT an idiot)!
It just feels completely corny to me when thinking about the backswing this way - not disputing the correctness. It just doesn't feel very "fluid".

Can you please describe to me this cupping with the right wrist at address and takeaway please? Are we looking at the right wrist with a cup to the inside or outside of the wrist? I have always used a neutral position of the hands at address and during the takeaway, any cupping and cocking of the right wrist taking place between the end of takeaway and the top of the back swing, then removed through the release.Last edited by BrianW; 08-18-2006, 01:44 PM.

Re: RH drill?
Yeah that's what I thought, but when you hinge the wrists while completing a shoulder turn it not only looks correct, but feels fine for me. I used to break the cup shape of my left wrist trying to achieve a more rounded swing which opens the club face.
