    Hi Folks

I am new to this game. I just started golfing 3 days ago. With background in cricket and field hockey, I do have a swing and with first timers luck for the past 2 days have been using the 1-wood to hit straight 300yds. I need tips with Irons. What are the criteria for selecting clubs?

    Thanks

    hi
if starting i'd get clubs with a cavity back as there more forgiving, most of the top makes are good clubs, try looking for a second hand set if your new to the game and also worth making sure the clubs fit you and not you fitting the clubs by bending to much or standing to tall, also the lie matters, if not fitted the toe or the heel with hit ground first, making you hook or slice the ball.
    best of luck
