  • A question to anyone who can help

Today i played in a competition and got through to the second round that is to be played tomorrow but i am having trouble with thinning the ball.

I am not exactly thinning it as it does not go really low but i am definitly catching the ball on the bottom of the clubface, it feels as though i am hitting the ball with the leading edge of the club. This is happening with all the clubs and it is particulary annoying with the driver because i am losing so much distance, i was hitting it about 20-30 yrds shorter with the driver than i normally do.

I would be grateful for any advise as i need this sorted out for tomorrow.

    Thank you

First I woudl look to set up, then I would look for the right knee. If the right knee is straighening it is most likly caused by loosing spine angle. It is easier to tell if your right knee straightens then to figure out if you are loosing spine angle, that is why I said look for the right knee. ask someone to watch you hit balls and look at your rear knee at the top of the back swing.

you are talking about a swing without a ball there. What happens in the practice swing and real thing are often times very different. maybe you have too much angle between left arm and club shaft. Therefore you have to jump up prior to impact or you would hit it fat
