I really wanted to try a 10.5 with the Aldila NV65 Stiff, but they dont make it stock. They can order it for $349.

I tried the 9.5 with the Aldila NV65 Stiff, I hit 3 with it. I could tell the ball was coming at lower, and the monitor showed that. The sales guy only let me hit 3 because it was a new club. Out of 3, avg carry was 269. Dispersion was still tight.

The only real difference in shaft is the kickpoint. The Fuji is low and the Aldila is high. I love the look of the Aldila, but the Fuji Sliver and yellow is pretty sexy too.

The in-store price for the 9.5 w/ Aldila Shaft was $339. The 10.5 w/ the stock Fuji was $319.

Got my Hibore...hit it today for the 1st time...

What a difference! The ball just seemed to carry for days. My draws and fades were softer. Heel shots tended to have a bit more kick to them, compared to my r7.

The club cuts through the air like butter. Has a great sound at impact. Good response with solid shots.

No spray with this club, my shots stayed much tighter together.

Thanks again for all the help!

I also demoed a Cleveland HiBore. Went on Ebay but people like you kept on outbidding me. lol. Anyway, I ended up buying an exact clone of the HiBore(Classic Tour Highly High Bore, 10.5 degree, Gramman TP440 stiff shaft) since my wallet wouldn't allow me to pay the $600 that they sell for here in Canada. I know I'm gonna get some flack for buying a clone, but, what the hell. I borrowed the HiBore demo today and took that and my clone to the driving range so I could compare before my 100% moneyback guarantee ran out. I hit the clone just as well and most of the time better then the HiBore. Don't bother arguing guys, you weren't there to see it. LOL.

Anyway, you want a higher trajectory, the HiBore is gonna give you that for sure. One thing that I noticed with mine(clone) is with the lower center of gravity I had to tee the ball quite a bit lower then you normally would a 460cc driver to get maximium distance. Also, teeing too high on the HiBore gives way too much trajectory. Experiment with your tee height till you find what gets you hammering that sweetspot everytime. I found I had to shift from the long tees back to short tees for this driver. Bottom line: You're gonna love this driver. It's very forgiving and very long. Also, no matter what SOME may say this club design is BEAUTIFUL. Anyone who makes fun of it will shut up when you are outdriving them by 20 yards and putting it down the pipe everytime.

I knew you'd like it. This is the first club I've ever hit that I can consistently get that little draw that I've been looking for for years.

It does have a great sound, doesn't it. Not that crisp ping you get off regular shaped titanium drivers. I'd class it more like hitting a metal bucket with an aluminium baseball bat. When I go to the driving range I listen to the other golfers hitting. ping ping ping. Then I let loose. BANG. Everyone turns to see what the hell made that sound. It gets some laughs because of that until they see how far the ball is going.

They say people born in February are different. That's me
They say people that play goalie in Hockey are different. You have to be to stand in front of 90 MPH frozen pieces of rubber. That's me too.
They're gonna have to add to that list. People who play HiBores (originals or clones) are different. I wouldn't want to be any other way.

I was "watching" the same driver I got up for auction on Ebay. A couple people got it for as cheap as me.

I still see some going for $170s

I love the sound. I did notice that I tee it up lower and swing more level. I don't try to "lift" the ball. I gave me more distance because I was not hanging back on my right side.

$170 US would still bring me with shipping to about $100 more CDN then I payed for the clone I've got, which, IMHO hits as well as the original. I'll settle for the clone right now and, maybe in the future when money isn't as tight, my wife might let me spend the extra for the real thing. LOL.

I also love the sound. It takes me back in time to when I was a boy on my grandfathers farm. This club hitting the ball sounds a bit like the old Jersey cow kicking over the milk bucket. This club gives me so much more trajectory then I was getting before that I shifted to a stronger grip and pushed my hands forward to deloft it a little. Doing this also provided me with the perfect little draw and I'm hitting monster drives.

I actually put my grip back to neutral this morning with it and was hitting it either dead straight or a slight draw. Which either is fine by me.
