hi all
i have developed a problem with my grip!
i set up with a neutral grip but i am pulling shots with virtually every club when i check my grip at the end of the swing it has slipped round to the right (3-3.5 knuckles showing) and the clubfaced is closed.
i feel as though my grip is tight enough what else could be wrong?

are both plams facing each other, you dont have one more under the other. i had my righ hand under a little and i was pulling too

A pull is usually associated with over the top swing path down to impact or ball position too much forward.

Could you be re-gripping in mid swing? Thus making the grip too strong? The grip tends to govern the "spin" of the ball not the initial direction of the ball flight though.

I thought if the ball is going straight left (rather than curving as in a draw or hook) it means you could have the ball too far forward.

Another hypothesis: you could be coming slightly from the outside in across the target line. This combined with a closed face (relative to the target but actually stright relative to your club path) would tend to send the ball left. The opposite of a push.

The 9 ball flight rules apply I think. (See the attached diagram)

bill- i think right hand maybe too far under shaft
james good diagram you may be right in thinking thatball position is too far forward.

could be too much in the fingers of the left hand and that may cause you to do this. You dont hold the left hand grip like a suitcase but it runs more diagnoly on the hand. It might also be the right hand is too strong forcing the left over.
