    Chris,

Yes you are correct in thinking you have to come from the inside on the through swing. The only way the club can come from behind your head to in front of you at impact is an inside track. Your hips direct the action or inside movement and set the club back on the target plane on the downswing. To visualize this, take a peice of string with a small weight attached and spin it in your fingers as fast as it will go. This represents the swing plane. Now move your wrist back a forth slightly. This represents the hip movement. To get it to the original plane, you must move your hips or in this case wrist back to the original position.

So in the downswing, you must set your left hip as a post and the right leg swings around it. The shoulders and arms move in a circle on the body (the amount you bend over) plane.

Please go to the Your Profile link and fill in your info, we would like to know more about you!!!

Keep it in the short grass,

Most people come over the top because their clubface is open.

Grip the club with a neutral grip and turn the face less on the backstroke and more through impact. Your right palm should face the ground past impact.

Hit the inside quarter of the ball.
