Has anybody played this game? Is it any good? Can it improve your swing or your knowledge of your own swing in any way. Will it get me through the winter months when i can't play real golf and I’m having withdrawal symptoms.
Any other information about the game?
I just don't see how a £30 computer game can accuratly give you information about your golf swing.

The most I have found in terms of a "review":

It doesn't sound too bad. For £30 i might give it a whirl. sounds like fun to me.

I actually does sound bad to me. There is no real feedback. You swinging some cut down club that makes no connection to the ball, the swing weight has to be way off, without the feeling of flex or lag. All this is going to do it allow you to play a video game using a "swing-like" motion. If this is all you want, then there you go...drink and be marry. If you are looking for something to "help" your swing, I contend this will not only be completly different, but actually do detrimate to your real swing.

Look at some other systems if you want real feedback. Take a look here, this is also new but in my first look will provide the right kind of feedback needed to actually help the swing, while giving you the fun of a game.

Whats to stop you standing in the garden with the laptop and using you're real clubs. (Apart from looking stupid) You're right that you're not actually hitting a ball but if it's posible to use you're own clubs and i think it might be then it's a cheep way of gaining information about your swing plane or club face it impact. Granted it's not in the league of the dancindogg which looks great but for £30 and with a little imagination I'm wondering if it can be turned into a useful tool. A lot depends on if it can be played using normal clubs.

I don't think the Real World Golf uses real clubs, its that cut down one. Can't be good for "Real Feel Golf".

Yes it does come with a cut down club. It doesn't do anything though. It's not the club that is used to detect the swing its a combination of the glove and the unit that sits on the floor. I believe you can use any club if you like. I'm not 100% sure on this but i think it's true. I just wondered if anyone has had a go at it and if it was posible to use a normal club. I'm sure it can't be any good as it's so cheap they make it look really good on there own website though http://www.realworldgolf2007.com/.

                hi
i use real work golf, i do use a short swing club ( club thats about 26" inches long with a round weight on end, you can use a reak club instead but i cant as i have a low ceiling so thats why i was the swing weight, like greg said you do get a mini club thats like a childs toy. i do find its good to use on the range setting and it does make you sweat and does help to keep you in trim if you cant get out for bad weather like up here in scotland. it does give you some feedback to how your hitting and if i have a problem with a real club it shows on the game too and i have used the game to help me hit fron inside out,
the thing is its a game and not a golf trainer but does do a good gob at being a trainer,
if you have bad weather like i do then this will help you in the winter months, the new game (2007) had more to it than mine so i think it should be even better, my game set me back £39 and i think it was a good buy.
i also use a mitsubishi golf trainer and that tends to show the real word gold does show most of your shots as the would be, my only gripe is using the wedges there is to much backspin using them. and the older game i have you dont really put, only judge the pace.
                hope this helps.

Its ********! I have it. You swing this tiny club and I thought YOUR SWING would be on the screen but its this ****py man with a swing like a 28 handicapper!

It doesent help AT ALL! The graphics are awful and when the ball hits the green the backspin is incredible it doesent spin back along the ground it BOUNCES backwards!

Plus its £30 pound for the game and i had to pay another £20 pound on top of that for the box and gloves!

The swing on the screen isnt your swing trust me!

i have it, its pretty good, use your own clubs ( i have a 1930's house so can use them all!) and practice balls and it does a good job.
you can track your swing in this swing cone thing, and its helped show me my upright swing. The best thing is its changed my swing for the better! can't really explain why without loads of info but it has really done my swing good, the down side is it could really mess up your swing

                      hi rharris
you have to remember its a game and not a training aid. it does get you swinging a club and in the winter thats a good thing, i do agree the back spin on the ball it way to muck and spoils the game as you cant control it at all. i fing using a weight club does give me a work out and from that poit of view it good as i do end up after a round sweating and feeling like i have played, whitch i dont with tiger woods game.
i dont think it will help your swing other than have you swinging indoors and in the winter thats better than not playing at all.

Is this what you guys are talking about? I was thinking about purchasing this one for a while, but it's a bit pricey.

no its diffrent, real world golf by gametrak. you have gloves you put on yore hands that connect to the computer and a base unit that measures your swing in the game you start on the computer. try a search for "real world golf by gametrak" and you'll find it ok
