Thought I would share this old saying with everybody. I have reincorporated this thought into my swing with remarkable results. Especially my irons from 150 in. My divots look like dollar bills from pretty tight lies and I am hitting straight at the flag. Mind you, this is for one round, but was very repeatable on the range. In fact, I was hitting too far to the back of the green with middle and front pin placements. Basically, I feel as if I am pulling the club though with the left side arm and shoulder connection and then extending the right arm almost straight down through the ball. If I extend down to early with the right arm, I know I have not cleared the left side and I hit behind the ball or thin it If I slide too much the the ball goes too low. Anyway, I did hit 6/9 greens. Wondered if anybody else has tried this thought, Mike.

Re: Lead with the left, punch with the right
that sounds like exactly what i do. the straitening of the right gives for a good release and great acceleration when the club is about hip high. but instead of the left arm feel as it is more my left shoulder combined with my body turn. the one thing i like to make sure is that my right arm feels as if it is under (closer to my body) my left arm untill impact, and that helps me come from inside to out
