    Re: stats for your handicaps

    hi bigdaz
you will see right away how deep plez goes into it and you soon understand the putting lessons will help but you need to have someone that understands putting, a lot of pro's and ass pro's dont and teach the full swing day in and and day out and may only show people the basics of putting, its hard to find a good putting teacher, think the putting bible as close as most of us will get to a good putting teacher.
i'm sure this book will help your putting so much and you will drop shots of your score and learn to read and understand greens more, there is so much to putting that does not involve hitting the ball, ie the lie of the green, way it slops, foot prints, spike marks, plez's putting clock has helped me lots and i tend to think where i want to chip the ball for a 6 o-clock putt ans i have cut the big break putts out my game but 30% at least so make more putts too.

      Re: stats for your handicaps

      Hi Brian,

Sorry for the delay in this reply,

I know that it would be hard to 1 putt half the holes. Having said this though it is possible with hard work on the short game.

If one is two putting every hole (or worse) their shot to the green is quite poor. The chip/pitch as we all know is very important. We should be thinking up and down in 2.

PS Brian, a feret or two per round would help out the putting statistics.

        Thanks
My club is Forrester Park near Maldon, Essex, par 71 and just over 6000 yards.
Most of it is not TOO difficult (except for the OOB on the right on the first 5 holes) but there are three par fours with a line of trees right in front of the green . . . . perhaps it is difficult?

          Re: stats for your handicaps

Just shot another 83 there though, 45 from inside 100yds and 30 putts. I seem to have gone up a level, a couple of months ago I would nearly always shoot 87, now it's 82/83 and I'm actually playing LESS than I was then.
My driving is abysmal though . . . I'll be working on that this winter

i take it the 45 includes the putts. so it's 15 shot other than putts withing 100 yards. how many failed up and downs??
