  • Practice Structure

I am planing 2 weekly early morning practice sesions on my club practice fairway. Can anyone give me some planning tips on how I should structure my sesions to enable me to fully use the time I have available.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I carded my best score on the weekend for quite a while 41 Out & 51 In. After a recent horror stretch it was very pleasing (apart from the 4 & 3x3 puts on the back nine)

I have recently added a 1 & 2 hybrid and discarded my wayward driver. It sure helps when you start with the ball in play.

I havent totally given up on my driver. It dont seem to get the same feel with my driver as I should. Would a steel shaft be an option? (any Sugestions)

    Thankyou

    Re: Practice Structure

    hi
i often think like i'm playing a round on the range, start with driver and hit a shot and i keep using that club till i hit 3 shots where i want then to go then work out what club i would use next and do the same with that, if i miss with 3 shots i then go to a wedge, but i have to hit 3 good shots in turn first before i take a wedge. by the time i get near the end i an hitting every shot where i want. i do that at least once a month at the range it lets me see how good my swing is or how much work i need to put into it.

      Re: Practice Structure

One thing that has really helped me is to practice like I play. This means picking a target and hitting that club ONE time, if it is a horrible shot then deal with it and move on to the next club because in a real round you dont get 10 chances to hit your driver off of the tee, you only get one. This method has really helped me to get it right the first time and be mentally prepared to deal with the consequences of my previous shot, hope this helps you.
