  • Swinging the arns?

I have a question maybe some of you can shed some light on. When swinging do any of you actively swing the arms through, or do you just let them trail behind the ody turn, and just let it happen. I have been going back and forth with physically swinging the arms with force, and just letting them trail. When I let them trail it feels like the are way far behind and will never catch up, but I end up hitting the ball ok. When i swing them with force I hit the ball solidly but inconsistently. I guess it's a timing thing with the arms. Just curiouas to what some of you guys might di with the arms on the downswing. Ant insight would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Hi Nick,

Consider what happens in the backswing first, then about reversing the action.

You start the takeaway mainly with the arms, hands and shoulders, you then allow the hips and torso to rotate. In the downswing you should take back everything you put in during the backswing and a little bit more at impact where you clear the hips and push the right knee through.
