Thanks jeff, although at the moment i am in a deep hole with my game and working hard to get out of it! Im sure ill come out of it a better player.

      Re: Eager to learn

      cmays, thanks for the link.

I actually go to Minnesota more often then the Toronto area which
is the hometown of the link.

Anyone in Minnesot teach this method? Do you teach this method
online or through a book or videos?

      Thanks

is that what you are really doing? or are you just hitting corretly and not turning a 5i into a 7i....

i just remembered that someone (can't remember who about a month ago) made a post once speaking of how a 9i (if soled correctly) is supposed to be tilted forward and what we call delofting it is actually the proper loft of the club. so maybe you aren't turning a 5i in to a 3i you are keeping a 5i a 5i and not turning the five into a 7i as most do.

becaue club makers know that hitting short irons properly involves a decending blow and tilting the shaft forward and getting hand ahead of the shaft promotes a decendin and compressing hit and therfore they measure lofts based on a certain amount of shaft lean.

if anyone knows where that post is i would be gratefull

in relation to unsolicited advice thread,
your swing is good ricky so if you are in a deep hole go through a checklist of your set up, the swing does not usually change from day to day as much as the set up may. back to the basics my friend, good luck ricky

in refernce to that first link you gave..... arn't secret 1 and 3 the same? and in secret one he condradicts himself. he says forward lean is good, yet he also says a flat left wrist is good. if a 5i is soposed to add 8 deg of shaft leand then a flat left wrist (or a strait up and down shaft) is making your 5i a 6i and swatting at it (or breaking left wrist is making that 5i a 7 or 8)...... don't you want a bowed front wrist. how do you deloft? i think i read of your GGD curling the left fingers under? is that just a method of bowing your wrist?

            as far as secret 3

"For example, a Driver striking a golf ball with a 2 degree "backward" leaning clubshaft at 100 mph with 9.5 degrees of loft produces a launch angle of 6.4 degrees and a carry distance of 230 yards. By changing Impact to a 2 degree forward leaning clubshaft the player produces a launch angle of 10.4 degrees and a carry of 251 yards. A 21 YARD INCREASE WITHOUT buying a new Driver and simply having clubhead lag! "

how does a backward lean (adding loft) give a 9.5 deg driver a lau angle of 6.4? and how does a foward lean (delofting) make a 9.5 have a 10.4 launch agnle? i can see maybe how delofting it can hit higher becaue you are delaying the hit and instead of hitting it down or level you can hit it on an upswing now. i know addig loft (swatting) is a power leak, but how can it make a 9.5 ded have a 6.4 lau angle?
