That's a good looking swing. You should
do well with it.
It's a little hard to analyze a little slice
of reality like this, I'm sure you can imagine.
In the big picture, I see you struggling
against a bit of resistance to load the
full shoulder turn on the backswing. You
go as far as you can and then recoil almost
as if the rubber band won't stretch any
further. You are the only one who can
verify or negate this observation, and,
of course, feel free to do either.
Let me ask you, can you hold the position
at the top, pose there, so to speak, with
no exertion?
Two small things: I think with a seven iron
you might try playing the ball back. At the
same time, make the club and left arm a straight
line from the view you supplied. See if that
doesn't help you take the ball a little deeper
in the swing, more from the inside.
chris,
impact sounds solid
Try pre turning your head to the right at address and looking left out of your eyes. go do a search for sergio garcia or ben hogan and you will notice that if they placed a ball off their rear foot at address, this is where the bill of their hat points. now yours points at the ball in the middle of the stance at set up, BUT at the top of the backswing it points out over your right foot. What does this do? if you have it pointing at the ball then the shoulders will have to turn the chin in the back swing, therfore limiting shoulder turn. If you pre turn the head, the shoulders will not be restricted by the chin as early in the backswing and the turn of the shoulders will be freer. I personally would not move the ball back or the hands forward, but that is only my opinion. I wonder where the weight is on your feet at address, towards the balls of feet, heals or centered?
I would also like to see a down the line view becausse there are some things I think I might see but cannot tell completely from that view
