Forcea Draw
I'm assuming you're RH. Address the ball in your normal (current) stance; now slide your front (left) foot to the rear (away from the ball) about 4 to 6 inches (you should still be comfortable. This will tend to make your downswing move from inside to out, creating a counter-clockwise spin on the ball at contact. You will need to experiment at the range to see how just how far you need to position your left foot. Also, try keeping your right elbow "tucked in" to your mid-section on the downswing.
I use to have a terrible slice (left to right). Using the two methods above minimized my banana ball.

i always thought that opening your stance as you suggest is how you play a fade and that closing your stance and aiming the clubface at the target was how to draw.following the swing along thefeet shoulders for an in to out.check your right hand you want the v to point to your right shoulder this will help to promote a draw.

Cabbie,
There are several ways to play a draw, the way you described is the traditional way. What x-out is decribing is an alternate but technically still correct. It takes more precise timing though.
Correct me if I'm wrong X-out but you are opening your stance to allow the club to swing through using more of a closed right elbow, this creates a diffferent pivot point and the clubhead closes down faster creating the draw. Almost a big smoke hook from an open stance.
X-out is this your swing pattern for all shots or is this just for the driver, I'm curious.

chokri69,
I think the stance adjustment Cabbie described it probably the easiest. The trick is "keeping the clubhead on the target and swing down your feet" If you swing down the target line that the club head is facing you will hit a pretty wicked pull hook. For the driver it is a slight adjustment maybe 3*-5*closed stance.
When I practice my woods, I hit 2 shots straight, then 2 draws then 2 fades. Learning to work the ball slightly helps setup shorter shots to the pin, or more open shots on dogleg holes.
I hit a 3 wood 90* out of the trees on a par 5 the other day and had a short pitch vice a pitch out and 200+ yard shot to the green. Understanding how to work the ball can be to your advantage.

other draw techniques-FYI
Here are a few other ways to draw the ball:
1. Take normal set up square to the left of the target line, then, move the right foot(right hand players) backa few inches.
2. Take a closed stance(right of the target line) and uncock the wrists at impact
3. Change your grip by moving left and right hands more to the right, then uncock wrists at impact.
4. Dangerous but you can roll the wrists open on the takeaway then snap them closed at impact.

Golfbald,
Man, that's a menacing picture you've chosen!
You are correct. I found that if I opened my stance while keeping my right elbow in, actually helped me straigten out the ball from a monster banana slice! This was my swing pattern about 20 years ago, and I used it just with the driver. Today, in my early 50's, I seldom slice at all, and over time, have readjusted my stance back to near normal.
By coincidence, I too practice hitting 2 fades, 2 straight, and 2 draws, repeatedly when I'm on the range. It really helps out on those dog-legs that start at about 150 yds from the tee. As a weekender, it's really satisfying when you can intentionally make it bend.
Have fun, or let me play through!

X-out,
I think my picture reflects my personality. focused
If you want a photo lesson to get you closer to normal PM a regular email address to me. I'm conducting a statistics experiment with grip/posture/setup. I am getting stats on distance per club and accuracy before and after compared to age height and weight. I want to see how many practice sessons it takes before progress levels out. I sent a few out and all the participants so far have had a good experience. Haven't heard from a few but I am hoping to.
I'd like to see a few experience golfer take part if possible.
