I have just had a bit of a shock on a dvd. The instructor stated that for the driver, the end of the club, that is the top of the shaft should be in line with your toes. I just checked mine and the top of my club reaches nearly to my ankles. When I tried this toe thing i appeared to be stretching. I drive pretty straight if not too far so what do other golfers think about this please.

PCS Class 'A' Clubfitter
A new highlight: Golfing the home course on Christmas Day.
I say it too often: If it's golf club shaped, you can play with it.
For the record, I'm a club doctor, not a swing doctor.
Re: End of club with relation to feet
I think that if you're driving straight, ignore the toe thing.

Re: End of club with relation to feet
It's the position of the hands at address that matters, they will sort out where the end of the club is. The arms should be freely hanging straight down from the shoulders. This should be the same for all clubs, including the putter.
When you address the ball let your right hand gently release from the grip and your right arm hang loose. If your right hand stays in the same place then you are OK. If it swings forward you are too far away from the ball, if it swings back you are too close.
